First Wellness Works! Session – Building Strong Connections to take place on January 28

Wellington Catholic has collaborated with UGDSB and CMHA Waterloo-Wellington to put together Wellness Works!, a monthly youth conferences for Grade 9-12+ students. Each month will focus on a theme related to mental health and wellness. High school students who participate can earn community service hours for attending and they have an opportunity to win prizes.

In recognition of Bell Let’s Talk Day, the first Wellness Works! Session – Building Strong Connections, will take place on January 28 from 5 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. It's important for youth to have strong and healthy relationships to help you live your best life. This includes a relationship with yourself and understanding how self-compassion affects how we interact with others.

YouthTALK members will lead the interactive and engaging group with activities and conversation to reflect on how we connect with ourselves and others. Youth will explore and learn about compassion, healthy relationships, supporting yourself and others while gaining practical skills to help bring self-compassion into your daily life.
